Lakeside offers a full range of sports and games facilities at our Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), including golf, tennis, padel tennis, table tennis, football, pool and snooker. Whether you’re visiting for a short break on one of our holiday pitches or staying longer with a seasonal pitch, you’ll have access to all our fantastic sports and games facilities.
190 YARDS Golf
Boost both your physical and mental well-being with a round of golf on Lakeside’s nine-hole course. With a par of 27 and hole distances ranging from 80 to 170 yards, this well-maintained course is perfect for both beginners and experienced players. Groups of up to four can test their focus and precision in a relaxed yet rewarding setting. Bring your own clubs and balls and be sure to wear suitable footwear and attire. There are no age restrictions, and for touring visitors and seasonal guests, a round costs just £6.
COURT Tennis Lakeside’s all-weather tennis facility features a fully marked out, caged hard court – perfect for practising your back-hand, serves and volleys. The net is permanently up, so you can play whenever you like. It’s free to play, just book your time slot and collect the court key from Tropicana. You don’t need to bring your own racquets or balls as hire of equipment is available (with a £10 refundable deposit plus £2 fee).
COURT Padel tennis
Padel tennis is the fastest-growing racquet sport in the UK, and at Lakeside, you can enjoy it on our state-of-the-art doubles-sized court – perfect for honing your skills and having fun. Book a one-hour slot for a game and hire racquets and balls from Tropicana with a refundable £30 deposit. Comfortable sports shoes are ideal for the court, and while everyone is welcome to play, under-8s will need adult supervision.
PITCH & FIELD Football
Football is one of the UK’s top competitive sports, and at Lakeside you’ve got the chance to win big on either our caged five-a-side or full-sized grass pitches. Turn up and play for free from 9am until late every day. The goals and nets are up permanently, just wear the appropriate footwear (no studs on the five-a-side astroturf pitch) and don’t forget to bring your own ball!
COURT Basketball
Lakeside features a full-sized astroturf basketball court with two hoops, ideal for anyone looking to shoot some hoops or practice their skills. As part of our popular Multi-Use Games Area, this fully marked, caged hard court is open daily from 9am, ready for a friendly game at any time. Free to use, you can simply turn up and play when the court is available – just remember to bring your own basketball and enjoy the game during your stay.

TABLES ON SITE Pool and snooker
Unwind and enjoy a game of snooker or pool at Lakeside, where our well-maintained tables ensure a smooth and precise playing experience. No need to bring your own equipment – cues, balls, and chalk are available to hire from Tropicana or the Waterfront club reception with a £10 refundable deposit. Whether you’re playing for fun or perfecting your technique, it’s the perfect way to relax during your stay.
PING PONG Table tennis
Table tennis is an enduring holiday classic, and Lakeside offers a full-sized table to play on. There’s no fee, you can book for an hour at a time, and bats and ping pong balls are available to hire from Tropicana (with a £10 deposit, refundable). Lakeside provides a great way to work on your speed and precision and enjoy enormous fun for all the family.
